• ApoBApoB counts the artery-clogging particles themselves — one ApoB protein rides on each — not just the cholesterol cargo they happen to carry.
• Lipoprotein(a)An LDL-like particle you're largely born with — a mostly genetic, independent driver of heart and aortic-valve risk that diet and exercise barely move.
• StatinStatins slow the liver's own cholesterol production, which makes liver cells pull more LDL out of the blood — lowering ApoB particles and risk.
